BRIGID
The Story Of Brigid is a beautiful collection of five songs telling the story of the life of Brigid, Irish fire Goddess,
I wrote these songs for South Australian singer Emma Horwood as part a larger work with a chamber ensemble of instruments. They formed such a cohesive and lovely song-cycle on their own, I’ve re-arranged them as simple vocal scores that you can adapt to your instruments - voice with harp or piano, or used as lead sheets for guitar etc.
The songs sit comfortably for both mezzo and soprano and and with a little wriggle room to introduce each song, go for about 20 mins.
